Sunday Markets on the New Haven Green
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until September 20, 2026
Spend a summer afternoon in downtown New Haven at the new Sunday Markets on the New Haven Green, a seasonal outdoor market series presented in partnership with the New Haven Green. Held twice each month from June through September, these community gatherings feature local artists, food vendors, makers, family activities, and opportunities to relax and enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
Located on the Upper Green at the corner of Chapel and College Streets, the market brings together local artisans, cottage food businesses, CitySeed Incubator food ventures, and creative entrepreneurs offering unique handmade goods, specialty foods, and locally crafted products. Visitors are encouraged to browse vendor booths, enjoy food and refreshments, participate in activities for all ages, and spend time lounging on the Green.
Guests can borrow picnic blankets from the information tent, making it easy to relax and enjoy the afternoon. The event is also pet-friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome.
The next Sunday Market takes place on June 14 from 12 pm to 4 pm. Additional market dates include June 28, July 12, July 26, August 9, August 23, September 6, and September 20.
The market is held on the Upper New Haven Green, diagonally across from Claire’s Corner Copia in downtown New Haven.
Admission is free and open to the public, with food, beverages, and vendor merchandise available for purchase.
