Kinky Boots at The Bushnell

The Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots steps onto the stage at The Bushnell from March 17 through March 22, 2026, at 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. Celebrated for its uplifting story, unforgettable music, and dazzling choreography, the show has earned six Tony Awards including Best Musical, a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical.

Featuring a Tony-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper and a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots brings humor, heart, and high-energy spectacle to the stage. Inspired by true events, the story follows Charlie Price, who unexpectedly inherits his family’s struggling shoe factory. Searching for a way to save the business, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with Lola, a charismatic performer who needs sturdy stilettos designed for drag artists. As the two work together to transform the factory’s future, they discover surprising common ground and a powerful message about acceptance, courage, and embracing individuality.

Performances are scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 through Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 pm, with an additional matinee on Saturday, March 21 at 2 pm. Final performances take place Sunday, March 22 at 1 pm and 6:30 pm.
