Seeds to Success: Children’s Entrepreneurial Market at Lyman Orchards

Young entrepreneurs will take center stage during the Seeds to Success: Children’s Entrepreneurial Market at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield on Saturday, August 2. This unique event invites children ages 5 to 17 to showcase their creativity and business savvy by operating their very own vendor booths from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Part of an award-winning program, this market encourages kids to develop valuable skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership through hands-on experience. Products can be handmade or store-bought, services or games—anything but food. Children must be actively involved in producing or sourcing their products and must manage their booths with minimal adult assistance. This includes preparing products, interacting with customers, taking payments, and making change.

Parents are welcome to support their children as needed, especially for participants with disabilities or special needs, but the goal is for children to lead their booths independently. All participants must adhere to the market guidelines: no fundraising, MLMs, animals, or sales on behalf of parents are allowed.
