Play Time! Toys & Amusements from the FloGris Museum at Florence Griswold Museum

From September 28 through November 3, 2024, the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme presents Play Time! Toys & Amusements from the FloGris Museum, an exhibit filled with whimsy and nostalgia. Featuring a delightful selection of toys and amusements from the museum’s permanent collection, this indoor display complements the outdoor Wee Faerie Village installations.

The exhibit showcases timeless favorites such as dolls, trucks, animals, and storytelling games, allowing visitors to explore the similarities between historic and modern toys. In a unique touch, select toys are available for visitors to interact with, creating a hands-on experience that brings the past to life. These well-loved toys, cherished through generations, inspire fond memories and encourage play across all ages.

Admission is $20 for adults, $19 for seniors 62 and older, $18 for students ages 13 and up, and $5 for children ages 5 to 12, with free entry for children 4 and under. The Florence Griswold Museum is located at 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT 06371, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, closed on Mondays.
