Food is love and one way to express your love for a child is to cook whole, healthy meals with them that will make them strong. This Valentine’s month, Veggiecation® and Whole Foods Market are partnering to teach your kids how to cook! Together with Veggiecation’s® trained instructor, kids will help prepare our Sweet and Snappy Salad and a Totally Rad Radish Salad on Thursday, February 13 at 4pm and Cannellini Beanie Dip and Ruby Red Citrus Salad on Thursday, February 27 at 4pm.
These Veggiecation Kids Cooking classes are Free at Whole Foods Danbury
As practiced in classrooms, YMCAs, after-school programs, and Whole Foods Markets throughout the country, children are presented with a simple nutrition lesson as they learn to cook two veggie-centric recipes! After participating in the cooking process, they will get the chance to sample their culinary creation and cast a vote on how they liked the recipe. Children will take home complimentary character coloring pages, recipes, and stickers.
Veggiecation’s® success with kids lies in the engaging activities that empower children with culinary and nutrition food education. The program is designed to highlight how simple and affordable healthy eating can be while demonstrating that eating vegetables is fun and delicious!
Veggiecation® Program and Whole Foods Market kids cooking classes are free and open to the public. Pre-registration for the classes is required as seating is limited.
