Lake Compounce has teamed up with WAKA Kickball and Social Sports to host ‘Plunge for Sandy Hook‘ on Sunday, December 8th. All proceeds will benefit the My Sandy Hook Family Fund which was established to help the families of those who lost loved ones in the Sandy Hook school tragedy. Principal Hochspung’s daughter Erica Smegielski and Victoria Soto’s sister Jillian Soto will be plunging, too.

“We have always wanted to do a plunge like this and we were thrilled when the WAKA approached us with this idea to raise funds for Sandy Hook” said Lake Compounce general manager Jerry Brick. “We believe the event is going to be a great success!”
Sean Cummings of the WAKA says “This event is important to me because many of the people closest to my heart are in the education field and I also have a daughter the same age as many of the victims lost that day. So through WAKA it’s possible for me to create an event that could be fun for those involved while still making a difference in the lives of those affected.”
