Put your detective hats on for more American Girl mysteries! Join the book club on Thursday, March 23 from 3:30-5 p.m. for Shadows on Society Hill, a mystery with American Girl Addy.
Addy’s new home in Philadelphia has scary connections to the North Caroline plantation her family escaped from. Explore Addy and others’ experience in the North in the 1860s. American Girl Addy’s stories take place during the Civil War Era and follow her family’s struggles as slaves, their journey escaping slavery, and then when they reunite, as free people living in the North.
Read the book before the meeting and join in discussions, games, and activities based on the story. The book club is $7 for members and $10 for non-members. Pre-payment and registration includes a copy of the book. Space is limited and registration is required. Payment is required at time of registration. To register, call (860) 567-4501 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about this or other programs, please visit www.litchfieldhistoricalsociety.org.
