The Saybrook Point Inn annual Fire & Ice Festival will be held on Saturday, January 17 from noon until 9 p.m. and features food and drink, live music and children’s activities. Taking place on the waterfront Terrace and Grand Ballroom, this winter event is open to the public and fun for all ages. The Fire & Ice Festival highlights these contrasting elements by showcasing our Fire Bar, a beloved fixture of Fresh Salt, as well as a fully sculpted Ice Bar created just for the event. With winter-themed festivities and demonstrations going on all day, this occasion is a must-see.
The festivities of the day will be accompanied by coffee and hot cider stations as well as Marina Bar drink specials and tastings with special guest, Thimble Island Brewery.
The event will feature a specially sculpted ice bar alongside Fresh Salt’s Fire Bar, with creative cocktails. Food stations offer cider and coffee, chili, chowder, sliders, fish kebobs and tapas-style plates, and the day’s events also include oyster shucking, sushi demonstrations and champagne tastings. The Sanno Spa will provide chair massages by the fire, and kids will enjoy face painting, a s’mores bar, movies and horse-drawn carriage rides along the Point.
Admission is free; food and beverage tickets are available for purchase. Saybrook Point Inn also offers packages for overnight stays. Information: 800-243-0212 and saybrook.com.
