MIX Creative Kitchen Introduces Their Brand Of “Fast” Food

One could say that MIX Creative Kitchen was born out of necessity. A need for fresh, healthy food, usually while on the run, but without sacrificing quality and flavor. This past April, Palm Foods LLC, the entrepreneurial team behind the MIX brand, put their hunger where their mouths are and introduced a made-to-order breakfast fix, salad, and sauté bowl concept that offers quality food in a fast-casual setting.

The MIX menu is under the direction of Chef Fausto Mieres, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute whose kitchen cred includes stints at local farm-to-table restaurant Oak + Almond and Mexican inspired bartaco. The breakfast menu starts out with organic eggs folded into a Greek omelet made with spinach, tomato, and feta, and hearty breakfast sandwiches such as the Californian with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, cheddar cheese, and avocado in between a griddled whole wheat English muffin. Steel cut oatmeal with fruit and nut toppings, as well as morning smoothies and rich coffee is there to jump-start your day.

Lunch and dinner items start with a very simple premise; knowing exactly what goes into each dish. MIX’s signature prep line provides consumers with a bird’s eye view of the ingredients going into their meal. From crisp lettuce and kale as the base of a hearty salad, and freshly cut produce to toss in or sauté into a hot meal with steamed quinoa, to the scrumptious proteins to top it all off with, a MIX meal satisfies on so many levels. In addition, gluten-free and vegan options are available and plentiful throughout the entire menu.

Menu highlights include:

Kale Caesar Salad with kale, romaine, tomatoes, cornbread croutons, and shredded Parmesan cheese with yogurt Caesar dressing; Smoky Southwest Salad with mix greens, pineapple, corn, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, and cheddar with smoky vinaigrette; Korean BBQ Bowl sautéed with spinach, basmati rice, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, charred onion, and sesame seeds with Korean BBQ sauce; and the Casablanca Bowl with sautéed kale, quinoa, sweet potatoes, chickpeas, charred onion, and cauliflower with a bold Moroccan sauce. Add homemade turkey meatballs, spice-rubbed shrimp, Asian pork, roasted Brussels sprouts, or balsamic and herb chicken to complete your meal. Flatbread pizza, warming soup of the day, healthy snacks, sweet treats, and convenient meals-to-go round out the offerings.
