Infinity Hall Hartford held their first Beer Dinner and we were invited. Infinity Hall is located at 32 Front Street in Hartford, CT where they offer lively entertainment, food and drink, all in the same building.
The beer dinner took place upstairs in the Mezzanine Level where we all sat at tables offering the opportunity for conversation between tables much like a community dinner. The chef from the in-house bistro prepared the food for the evening. He worked with the brew master from Broad Brook Brewing to ensure that the food and beer paired well.
The beer chosen was from Broad Brook Brewing located at 2 N Rd in East Windsor, CT. The folks at Broad Brook have been brewing beer for personal consumption for a long time. They decided to take their beer to regional and national contests and won. At that point they decided that it was time to open a brewery so the public could enjoy the same great tasting beer that they have been brewing. The brewery opened in fall of 2013 and the rest is history.
Shorty after being seated, we started the evening off with a sample of Broad Brook Porter and a toast to Broad Brook and the chef. Our bubbly table mates kept us entertained all evening with lively conversation. There were four different courses served that evening, each being paired with a different Broad Brook beer.
First Course: Beer-cured sea scallop on a crispy wonton containing butterut salsa, pickled watermelon radish and lime creme fraiche paired with Broad Brook Brewing Hopstillo IPA.
Second course: House made ravioli with artisan cheese filling, black garlic, fresh basil, and sweet potato juice paired with Broad Brook Ale.
Third course: Peppercorn herb crusted wild boar chop with delicata squash, rainbow chard, luxardo cherry pan sauce paired with Dark Star IPA.
Dessert course: Poached pear and waffle cannoli filled with local maple syrup mascarpone and strawberry coulis paired with Season of the Witch Imperial Brown Ale.
Each beer was good, especially the Porter, which would be great sitting around a fire on a cold wintry night, and the Dark Star IPA.
The Hartford Infinity Hall Bistro is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Infinity Hall “Broad Brook” Beer dinner was a fun evening filled with lively conversation. The player piano on the Infinity Hall stage played soft jazz music in the background. Everybody seemed to be having a grand time. Be sure to watch for more beer and wine dinner coming to Hartford Infinity.
