Holiday shopping is here and what better place to do it than at your local Westfield Mall. Westfield Malls in Connecticut can be found in Trumbull, Meridan, and Milford. We went on a shopping trip last weekend with a few of our favorite fashion and lifestyles bloggers, Bonnie from Home Place, and Natasha from One Woman’s Style, and found all kinds of great stores to checkout.
This was actually my first visit to the Westfield Trumbull Mall. I love how bright and open it is inside. The walkways are spacious and it is very modern and upscale. The mall was completely renovated in 2010 to give it that modern look. The mall is located at 5065 Main Street in Trumbull right off of the Merritt Parkway.
The Westfield Mall in Trumbull has anchors stores on each end – JCPenney on one end and Lord & Taylor on the other. There is also a Macy’s and Target at the Westfield Mall Trumbull. The mall has two levels and many unique shops throughout. For clothes shopping you will find H&M, H&M Men’s, AE Outfitters, Charlotte Russe, UNIQLO, F&F (a London-based company that is new to the US), Banana Republic, Macy’s, J. Crew, The Limited, Forever 21 and lots more. For kids there are stores like H&M Kids, Build-A-Bear, The Children’s Place, Gymboree, and Kids Foot Locker. Fashionistas will love the fact that Coach, Michael Kors and Aldo Shoes can be found at the Trumbull Westfield Mall. For Beauty Buffs you will be happy to know that both Sephora and LUSH are at the Westfield Trumbull Mall.
The first stop on our shopping trip was Francesca’s Collections. This store is brimming with jewelry and clothing, accessories, and fun items that make great gifts. Clothes are arranged on the racks by color and you won’t want to leave when you see everything they have to offer. This has to be my favorite shop in the mall.
Next we visited Banana Republic where we learned that layering (high/low) is in style. Layering means wearing long shirts that stick out below chunky sweaters and sweaters paired with short jackets. Just as we saw in Francesca’s, chunky jewelry and statement necklaces were also front and center at Banana Republic. Banana Republic also caters to men and had a great selection of shirts, jackets, accessories, and shoes. They are also showcasing their signature fragrance, Modern.
After leaving Banana Republic we turned the corner and low and behold, Santa was sitting on his throne. A family was having their photos taken and elves were scurrying about.
Have you heard of F&F? F&F is a London-based company that is new at the Trumbull Westfield Mall. The Trumbull mall hosts the second ever store in the US. You will find a large selection of children’s clothes as well as ladies and menswear at F&F.
Our last stop on a great day of shopping at The Westfield Mall Trumbull was at The Limited. We were greeted at the front of the store by a special collection inspired by the hit TV show, Scandal on ABC. This collection includes tops, pants, sweaters, jackets, coats, jewelry and accessories. Statement jewelry was also spotted at The Limited and it seems to be the theme for this year’s seasonal shopping and gift ideas.
Have you heard of the Merry Makers?
The Merry Makers will be popping up at random times to bring joy, fun, laughter, and song to the mall. Look for the Merry Makers beginning on Black Friday and continuing through Christmas Eve. Anyone who posts a photo on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #makememerry will help Westfield Mall donate to the St Jude’s Children’s Fund. For every post, pic, or tweet using the hashtag #makememerry $1 will be donated.
The Cheesecake Factory recently opened at Westfield Mall Trumbull and is a big hit already. We ate there after our shopping trip and had a great experience. Try the unique cocktails, signature dishes but stay for the cheesecakes!
This holiday season, stop by one of the three Connecticut Westfield Malls to take in the sight and sounds of Christmas, do some shopping, and grab a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed.
Disclosure: Westfield Malls provided each of us with a gift card to help us with our shopping trip. Each of our experiences was unique and each of us has written our own opinions.
