One of the simplest ways to get your fruit and veggies each day is to drink a smoothie. They are super simple to make and taste great. Here is our recipe for a Spinach, Kale, Blueberry, and Cacao Chip smoothie.
We use a single-serve blender and this recipe is just enough for the small cup. Double the ingredients to make a smoothie that is for the large, 8 oz cup.
- fresh kale
- fresh spinach
- fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (our favorite is Yoplait)
- Navitas Cacao Chips
Wash kale and spinach under running water. Cut leaves into small pieces if they are too large. The leaves should be about 3″ long. Place kale and spinach in a blender cup until the cup is about half full .
Add yogurt, honey and about 10 blueberries. Blend well.
We like to blend for about 15 seconds and remove the container and shake it so the leaves move down. Blend it again for another 15 seconds and repeat until all of the kale and spinach leaves are mixed in. Then blend for about one minute until all ingredients are smooth and there are no little pieces left.
Add a handful Cacao chips on top and drink up. If you prefer you can blend the cacao chips with the other ingredients to make them blend in.
