Celebrate New Year’s Eve in historic Plymouth Center. At the Plymouth Congregational Church (10 Park Street), Down Home Frolic will play traditional, old-timey, hand clapping and sing along music. Down Home Frolic, comprised of Dan Gardella on fiddle and Fran Block on banjo, ukulele and spoons (not all at the same time!), has played at many fairs and festivals. Meanwhile, at the First Baptist Church of Plymouth (4 North Street), Joe O’Toole will play jazz guitar and tunes from the American songbook, such as Gershwin and Cole Porter. Mr. O’Toole studied jazz guitar at Berklee College of Music and Western Connecticut State University. He has performed with two time Hartford Grand Band Slam award winner The Realm and the progressive rock band Magnetar as well as fronting his own Jazz trio.
Refreshments will be available at both churches after the performances.
