Have fun with Robots, Sail the Seven Seas, Discover Brain-Storm & Create, and 3D Print with Talcott Mountain Science Center & Academy’s Saturday Programs! Make the most of your weekends with our three-week (K-3) Saturday programs, which provide hands-on discovery, exploration and research with guidance and skill building from Talcott scientists. All courses run from 9am-3pm at Talcott’s mountain-top campus in Avon. Courses let students explore new areas of science and technology, integrated with math and language arts, taking on the role of a practicing professional scientist.

Launch new video rockets! Experiment with rocket design and propulsion systems. Build your own rocket and launch it to measure how high it goes! It’s a Bug’s Life | June 2, 9 & 16
They creep, they crawl, they fly! They make sure the flowers grow, they clean up our yards. They can lift hundreds of times their own weight and can fly across the continent! They’re bugs! Bugs can do so many amazing things; some can walk on water or can even make silk, and others taste with their feet. There are hundreds of cultures to learn about, and some of them are hiding in our own backyard! Join us on this three-week long journey to find them, watch them and take a peek into their tiny world!
