Lyman Orchards Peach Fest (Middlefield)

The Lyman Orchards Peach Fest will be held on August 18th from 9 am to 4 pm in Middlefield, Connecticut. Celebrate the fresh grown, juicy peaches with a day of delicious family fun! There will be lots of great activities for the whole family, including Lyman’s delicious and juicy blueberries and raspberries, as well as sweet treats from the Apple Barrel. The fun all begins with a delicious breakfast on the Apple Barrel deck. Have you ever had a Butter Grilled Cider Donut. We take one of Lyman’s fresh-made Apple Cider Donuts and grill it to perfection and top it with fresh in-season fruits and whipped cream!
Lyman Orchards is pleased to welcome back to the farm, Bus13, which is well known for ir blend of rock, country-rock and power-pop flare. BUS13’s music has been inspired by a wide variety of artists and styles including Jeff Tweedy/WILCO, Ryan Adams, Eagles, John Lennon, Neil Young, and Hank Williams – you get the picture.
During this year’s Peach Fest, don’t miss “Air Cooled at the Orchard,” an all Corvair and air-cooled Volkswagen Car Show, presented by Connecticut C.O.R.S.A. & the Connecticut Volkswagen Association.Judging is by People’s Choice; prizes will be awarded for best in class and best in show.
More fun activities include complementary food tastings, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, henna art, kettle corn and interactive activities for children throughout the day. And stick around for the Pie Eating Contests at 3:15 p.m. Dive face-first into a delicious Lyman Orchards pie to win great prizes.
Plus, friends from Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter will be here doing crafts with the kids.
And you’ll want to get lost in our Sunflower Maze, where you’re surrounded by more than 350,000 yellow and red sunflowers. This year’s Sunflower Maze celebrates two new Amur tiger cubs, Reka and Zeya, which were born this past autumn at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo. Open daily, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
