Genealogy Publishing Made Simple

May 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the Connecticut Ancestry Society for its annual meeting followed by a program on how to publish your work. Artist, illustrator and book designer Shelley Lowell will lead this workshop. Free and open to the public.

The Connecticut Ancestry Society Annual meeting is followed by a presentation on the steps required and options available for publishing your work. Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, and book designer Shelley Lowell has experience with the creation of books that range from four pages (a story about how a gun saved a family) to 700+ pages (an annotated Bible).

Lowell illustrated the front cover of the book, “Home Front, A Memoir of WWII” by C.D. Peterson. She was presented with the first printing of the book, which tells of his experience being raised by his mother while his father was away fighting in WWII.
