Free Takayna Film Screening at Patagonia New Haven

June 5, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Run with ambassador Clare Gallagher and Takanya Film Screening

What is Running Could Save a Rainforest?

Home to one of the last tracts of old-growth Gondwanan rainforest in the world, the takayna, or Tarkine, region of northwest Tasmania is at the mercy of timber and mining operations. Told through the eyes of a rural doctor who runs ultramarathon distances deep into the forest to scout logging operations, takayna unpacks the complexities of modern conservation and challenges us to consider the importance of our last truly wild places.

Join us for a community fun run led by Patagonia Running Ambassador Clare Gallagher followed by a special screening of takayna. Both events are FREE.

Run with Clare Gallagher begins at 6pm, please arrive 15 minutes early to sign wavier and get acquainted.

Doors Open 7pm
Film Starts 7:30pm

There will be special pint glasses for sale during the film and beer from New Haven’s very own Hull’s Brewing Company with all proceeds benefiting The Denali Foundation.
