Fabric of Stamford at Stamford History Center
October 7, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Stamford History Center is hosting an exhibit this fall highlighting the lives of women at home and in the community. Whether ordinary or extraordinary, they strived to build their families and community, celebrating important events, dressing the part for the day to day or a fun outing, shopping, sewing, and enjoying civic engagements and leisure in the park.
The Society will feature treasures of furniture, porcelain, art and artifacts, as well as images of times past. Highlighted will be costumes and accessories, as well as quilts and needlework. Most of the exhibited items have never before been publicly shown.
Take your chance to visit this fall, and learn about this important aspect of Stamford’s past and the lives of women who have helped to build it!
