An added plus, in my book, was the valet parking. The building was made of adobe and gave the impression that you were visiting a restaurant from Spain or South America. Inside the atmosphere and decor were festive and inviting.
Jeanelle Guerrero, one of the owners of Brasitas Restaurants, primarily oversees the Stamford location, whereas her brother oversees their Norwalk location. The siblings are keeping their father’s vision alive in Stamford.
Jaime Guerrero, a business entrepreneur and graduate of the French Culinary Institute of New York City, had a unique vision of creating an upbeat, vibrant gathering place where a nuevo latino cuisine could meet the authentic latin american culinary traditions he grew up with in Colombia. Brasitas Restaurant was first opened in Stamford, CT in 1999. After Brasitas quickly grew to become one of the best spanish restaurants in its area, Jaime decided to expand his concept to Norwalk, CT opening the second Brasitas in 2007. Brasitas proudly continues to be family owned and operated restaurants.
