Stew Leonard’s Bunny Breakfast

New for 2014! Families can sign up for a special Bunny Breakfast on Saturday, April 5, 2014 hosted by the Easter Bunny and his friends. Stew Leonard’s chefs will offer a breakfast of seasonal fruit, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, has browns, French Toast Sticks with syrup, assorted bagels, doughnut holes, and juice & coffee. Each child will receive a complimentary copy of Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim, Easter coloring sheets, and will be able to take a photo with the Easter Bunny.

Reservations for the Bunny Breakfast must be made in advance at Customer Service. Adults and children age 12 and over will be charged $9.99/each and children age 11 and younger will be charged $7.99/each. There are two seating times offered at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Our annual Easter Gala is happening on Saturday, April 5 from 10-2. Angel Moon Photography will be here to take your picture with the Easter Bunny for $10, including a frame to decorate with stamps and stickers. Magician Bob Conrad will perform during the day. Stew Leonard’s Newington store is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Children age 8 and under will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store, including Wow the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck among others.

Each egg contains prizes ranging from candy and board games to toys and gift cards. One lucky child will win the Egg Hunt’s top prize: a $200 gift card to Toys R Us! Parents please note: some of the candy included in the eggs may contain peanuts. After the Egg Hunt is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny. Younger children hunt will begin at 7:15p.m. Older children hunt will begin at 7:30p.m.

The event will be held at Doolittle Park Playscape. The event will be divided into two age groups children 1-5 and children 6-11. Plastic filled eggs, candy along with 9 special GOLD EGGS for each group will be spread throughout. Participants are asked to find only ONE Gold Egg. Once found you may redeem your prize for the golden egg at the table at Doolittle Park.

Please be considerate of age breakdown we want everyone to have an equal opportunity. Parents should be aware that if they have a young child and an older child two adults will be required to participate in both events. Parents are asked to bring a basket and a flashlight for their child.

Flashlight Egg Hunt for Older Children

Fee: $1.00

Just for students in grades 3 – 5! The hunt will be held on the grounds of Town Hall at 8:00 p.m. sharp, and will last approximately 20 minutes. All participants must bring their own flashlights. Bags will be provided for collecting. Call the Parks & Recreation Office to pre-register. Cost is $1.00 per student. Pay on the evening of the hunt in front of the Town Hall.

Cheshire Easter Egg Hunt

In the event of inclement weather, the Hunt will be rescheduled for the same time on Saturday, April 19.

The 64th Annual Cheshire Town Easter Egg Hunt will be held at noon on Saturday, April 12, at Cheshire Park on Highland Avenue (Route 10). All Children from age 2 through 12 are invited to participate. This event is run each year by the Cheshire Lions Club in cooperation with the Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department.

Granby Twilight Eggstravaganza

Festivities will begin at Salmon Brook Park at 5:30PM. There will be an egg hunt for 2 year olds at 6:15PM, an egg hunt for children ages 3-5 about 7PM, and a Flashlight Egg Hunt for children ages 6-12 after dusk, at about 7:45PM. Jack, the Spring Bunny will be visiting Salmon Brook Park on Thursday, April 17 as local organizations put together an egg-citing evening for children. Children from 2-12 can participate in egg hunts, face painting, bounce house activities, and get a picture with the Spring Bunny! This event is sponsored by the Granby Recreation Department, Granby Youth Services Bureau, and the Granby Early Childhood Council. The event is free, but the Salmon Brook Park Concession Stand will be open with burgers, hotdogs, snacks, and drinks for sale throughout the evening. All children participating in the hunts should bring their own basket or sack to collect the hidden eggs, older (ages 6-12) children will need to bring their own flashlight as well.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will once again take place at Henry Park this spring on Friday, April 18. Come and hunt for thousands of foil wrapped solid chocolate Easter Eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny. Children 2-4 must be accompanied by an adult during the event. No pre-registration is required.

The Easter Bunny will be at the Shore Line Trolley Museum on April 12-13, 18-19, 2014. Easter bunny Tickets may be purchased at our ticket window on the day of your visit. Families will ride a 100-year-old beautifully restored trolley to meet the Easter Bunny on his very own trolley car! There will be springtime crafts too! Plan on spending about an hour minimum at the museum to visit the Bunny, complete the crafts and of course take lots of pictures! Additional historic trolleys will be on display for you to walk through and explore.

Tickets are $5.00 per person, $20.00 for a family of 5. Activities will include face painting, family friendly entertainment, and a visit from the guest of honor, the Bunny!
