The Connecticut Wine Trail Passport Program & Wine Festival

The Connecticut Wine Trail is a state approved winery and vineyard awareness program complete with special directional signs, brochures and special events. No matter where you are in Connecticut there is one or more wineries opened for visitors within a 45 minute drive.

Members of the CT Wine Trail participate in the Connecticut Farm Wine Development Council Passport Program.

Connecticut Wine Festival

The Connecticut Wine Trail Passport Program starts in early May. Visit Connecticut wineries and get your passport stamped for each new winery you visit. Save your passport until the end of the season and turn it in for your chance to win prizes.

The Wine Trail culminates with the CT Wine Festival in July at the Goshen Fairgrounds.

The wineries may charge for a wine tasting both for individuals and for groups but most of the time you can visit each winery for free. Reservations are not necessary, but large groups are strongly encouraged to call ahead. Each winery should be called for pricing information. Farm wineries are permitted to sell wine on Sundays.

How To Participate:

Pick up a Passport at any of the participating Connecticut farm wineries. Once you have a Passport, tour around Connecticut visiting farm wineries while collecting stamps along the way. The Connecticut Wine Trail will help you plan your travels. Once at least 16 stamps are obtained, submit your Passport to any Connecticut farm winery for the grand prize drawing held annually in November.

It’s FREE to participate – there’s no fee to obtain a Passport or get a stamp in your Passport.
