Connecticut Open House day is sponsored by Connecticut’s Office of Tourism. Three of Connecticut’s state parks will be participating and offering free admission to their museums. The Dinosaur State Park will sponsor a series of events, which include films and crafts among other activities.
There will be 4 Naturalist-led programs, which include an animal program, a Track Talk, and two guided nature walks. There will also be a mining for gems and fossils activity. Additionally, Radio Disney will present a live show that features music, games, dance and prizes. Visitors can view more than 600 Jurassic dinosaur footprints preserved in gray sandstone. Plus, enjoy picnicking and hiking on 2.5 miles of well shaded trails.
