Charter Oak just released their first in the Charter Series of limited releases, a Russian Imperial Stout called Lights Out Stout, at 9.1% ABV. This is a robust, yet well balanced, stout with hints of chocolate and coffee and a solid roasted back bone. The days of summer are behind us, it’s now time for a full bodied, hearty, locally brewed Lights Out Stout from Charter Oak. Available throughout Connecticut at most retail and restaurants that market fine craft beers. Fresh, local beer, brewed in the traditional way – small batches, with BIG taste!
The Lights Out Stout is brewed to an opaque, midnight black shade with an abundance of malted and roasted barley and plenty of East Kent Golding and Northern Brewer hops directly from the hop farms in the UK. Lights Out Stout enjoys a complex taste profile of coffee, chocolate, and toffee and at 9.1% ABV it’s a real sipper on a cool Fall or Winter evening.
Charter Oak recently introduced their Legendary Variety 12 Pack to the Connecticut market and it continues to sell well. The variety pack includes four bottles of the 1687 Brown Ale, four bottles of the Royal Charter Pale Ale, and four bottles of their newest release, the Wadsworth India Pale Ale..
