We’re always looking for interesting liquors and I found a few interesting selection at WineChateau.com. Check out the Middle Sister Rebel Red Cranberry Cosmo, Chocolat Rouge Sweet Red, Hangar 1 Vodka Chipotle, and Germain-Robin Apple Brandy for something different.
One of the more notable wines we found while perusing the wine at WineChateau.com was The Bodega Norton Malbec. This Malbec was named one of Wine Spectator’s top 100 wines of 2012, coming in at #51. With a deep red color with hints of purple, this Malbec is expressive on the nose with notes of ripe black fruits, violets, and tobacco. Malbec is one of our favorite wines so we were happy with this choice.
A few other wines we spotted that were of interest were the Fratelli Recchia Ca’Bertoldi Amarone 2005 and The Great American Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon by Rosenblum Cellars 2012.
The Amarone is a tarry red, with firm tannins backing tobacco-tinged flavors of dried black currant, cocoa powder, cherry preserves, ground spice and nut. This shows good intensity and focus, ending with a well-knit, lingering finish. Drink now through 2025. With only 3,500 cases made you will grab some before it’s gone.
Cabernet Sauvignon is another one of our favorites and the Cabernet by The Great American Wine Company from Rosenblum Cellars is a great deal at just under $10. Rosenblum Cellars donates a portion of their profits to military charities and is proudly made in the USA. This Cabernet Sauvignon is round and smooth with flavors of ripe berries and toasty oak.
