Join us as we celebrate May and the return of warm weather with our signature beer crawl, Brew On9, this Friday, May 6 from 6 to 8 pm. The event takes place in New Haven’s historic 9th Square neighborhood as part of our On9 First Friday event series. Brew On9 kicks off New Haven Bike Month (May) and National Home Brew Day (May 4).
Brew On9 is a beer crawl featuring 19 craft beers and 8 home brews. Check-in is located at Baobab Tree Studios (71 Orange St.) Attendees will receive a tasting cup before heading into the 9th Square to sample the brews while visiting the businesses.
Limited tickets are available for $15 at: www.squadup.com/events/brew-on9. The event has sold out every year. Participants in the Brew On9 tastings must be 21 and over. A complete list of participants is available at the end of this press release.
In addition to the beer stroll, we are collaborating with New Haven Bike Month. A full schedule of New Haven Bike Month events is available at: www.newhavenbikemonth.com. Representatives from Bike Month and CT Rides will be set up in Pitkin Plaza as a general resource for transit and biking in New Haven. Bike Month will be selling t-shirts and representatives from NHV Tour de Brew will be on-site selling event tickets. We will also have a mobile bike museum presented by The CT Wheelmen in Pitkin Plaza. (weather dependent). In case of rain, informational tables will be set up in Baobab Studios (71 Orange St.) Credit card purchasing will be available for on-site ticket sales (if not sold out) and merchandise sales. We also accept cash and checks.
“Brew On9 is a favorite among our On9 events as it gets people outside in the warmer weather, walking around to visit their favorite 9th Square stops while also checking out our newest businesses. This year’s Brew On9 has more stops than ever before. The collaboration with Bike Month adds a few bonus activities to an already exciting line up. This is a can’t miss event!” says Win Davis, Executive Director of Town Green District.
