Bonefish Grill’s New Summer Menu in South Windsor

Bonefish Grill in South Windsor, Connecticut located in Evergreen Walk invited us to try their recently launched their new summer specials seasonal offerings. This summer menu is only available as long as the warm days of summer last and include such entrees as: Wild Salmon topped with freshly sautéed spinach, Applewood bacon and blue cheese crumbles; and Dayboat Scallops with corn risotto and green beans. Both excellently prepared by The Wood-Grilled Fresh Fish Experts at Bonefish Grill.

Starting off, we tried the Fresh Watermelon Martini from the summer menu. A refreshing blend of hand-muddled watermelon, house-infused English cucumber and Fris vodka infusion, fresh sour, and garnished with frozen watermelon cubes.

We decided to order the Ceviche on this pleasant summer afternoon. The ceviche was contained chilled bay scallops, marinated shrimp, fish, fresh pineapple, coconut, cilantro and guacamole, and seasoned crisps for dipping.


From a previous visit, we knew we had to order the Bang Bang Shrimp, crispy shrimp in a creamy and spicy sauce, was such a popular item that Bonefish retained it on the new menu. These are superb for an appetizer. The crispy shrimp held up to the rich and spicy sauce. Bang Bang Shrimp is always on the menu and if you haven’t tried it, you must.

For entrees, we went with the two from the summer menu: Wild Salmon and Dayboat Scallops. With the wild salmon, it comes with two sides from the “sides” menu, today green beans and spinach was chosen. Both the salmon and scallops were properly prepared and quite tasty.

The summer seasonal menu took advantage of local, fresh season specific ingredients, satisfying our culinary palate. Each item we tried during our visit was good and well prepared. The bread was fresh from the oven, steaming hot.

If you are near a Bonefish Grill and in the mode for some good seafood, then stop in and order from the “summer Menu.”

They are open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 10:30 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 11:30 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
