A few weeks ago we flew to New Orleans for a weekend trip. I actually do not like to fly because all of the hassle of the security check-in not to mention how small the seats have become on the plane. The ECBC Company contacted us and asked us to try out one of their premium travel pieces to see if it would make checking in faster. I was skeptical but I said I would give it a try. Airport security can be hard people to deal with and I sure didn’t want any fuss. For our review, ECBC sent us a Sparrow Wheeled Garment bag.
When the garment bag arrived and I opened the box I was immediately impressed with the quality. The ECBC Sparrow Wheeled Garment bag we received is made of heavy duty materials, large wheels, and all kinds of interesting compartments. There are small zippered pockets on the outside to hold small items you want to get at faster like a wallet, smartphone, iPod, snacks, or even small camera. The inside has two different compartments. One compartment is designed for clothes you are packing that you don’t want to get wrinkled. This section was also perfect for my boots. If they are on hangers you can fold them over the padded divider. You can actually unzip this section and remove it if you aren’t going to use it. The other side has two velcro’d mesh zipper compartments that are also removable when you don’t want to use them. We put belts and socks in these.
The other compartment is deeper and is designed specifically for the bulk of your clothes. I was able to pack in two sweaters, 3 shirts, two pair of pants, a scarf, and even another pair of shoes. It has adjustable straps to keep everything securely in place.
From the ECBC Website: The Sparrow Wheeled Garment Bag combines unmatched durability & organization with impeccable style. The first luggage of its kind, this bag features the ECBC FastPass® System allowing you to unzip the specialized electronics compartment, lay the bag flat on the security conveyer and go through TSA without unpacking laptop, tablet and cables. In addition, this bag comes equipped with our ECBC Portable Power Pack, a quick charge portable battery. Never run out of juice again when you are on the go! Recharge your phone, tablet and other gadgets right in the bag. Keep your clothes wrinkle free and organized in the garment section. Additional space and pockets in the compartment designed for folded items.

The ECBC garment bag is not only a premium piece of luggage also comes with a portable power pack to charge your electronic devices. This came in super handy several times when I wasn’t near any power outlets. Some airports now have power stations but most of the time they are all full from other people using them. Having my own power supply was convenient and I could also use it while I was on the plane. It is removable so I can use it anytime and carry it in my car or purse too.
What is really great about the ECBC luggage is how easy it made going through the security checkpoint. The large outside front pocket is where you store your laptop and tablets. We put our large laptop in the big pocket and two iPads in the smaller pocket and they all fit. There is also a mesh pocket to store your mouse and power cable.
Now here was the magic happened. Would our luggage go through without having to remove all of that? Absolutely! We unzipped the front pocket, laid the luggage on the conveyor belt and away it went. The security guards never gave it a second glance and never asked us to remove our laptops or tablets! I was impressed.
Now, I do have to say that every airport might not be the same but we never had any issue coming or going home.
If you are planning a trip I suggest you check out what ECBC has to offer. It will make your journey a lot more pleasant.
