Woodstock’s award-winning 506 On The River Inn, the destination’s first new hotel in 50 years, will launch an exclusive partnership with Plymouth Notch, a stunning, private ski resort located 15 minutes from the inn. The partnership will commence in December and will allow guests of 506 On The River Inn to enjoy 28 trails and 300 acres of back country terrain which include a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced trails to suit skiers and snowboarders of all abilities and skill levels. Plymouth Notch is the only mountain in the valley which can be skied from top to bottom without spending 25 minutes in lift lines.
“We are looking forward to sharing the Plymouth Notch experience with our guests. It will provide them with a top-notch skiing experience in a tranquil and uncrowded environment,” said Josh Hardy, General Manager of 506 On The River Inn. “The mountain is ideal for couples, families, and corporate groups, and with its close proximity it allows easy access for a day on the slopes.”
506 features 45 guest rooms and suites located in the main inn and in the recently grand-opened Farmhouse Suites building, a three story annex housing three two-bedroom suites and two one-bedroom suites, all outfitted with full, gourmet kitchens making them well-suited for long term stays and families. Each accommodation boasts private decks overlooking six acres of scenic snowy meadows and the Ottauquechee River.
At Plymouth Notch, all trails return to the base of its 8,000 square-foot Lodge that houses a lounge and bar serving local craft beers, cocktails, and tasty food for warming up after runs. Guests no longer have to rush through weekend crowds and families may ski their own private mountain December through end of April. A 78-seat restaurant is available for receptions and dinner parties and is serviced by a local, gourmet catering company. The mountain is open for skiing 40 days per winter season beginning Christmas week and encompassing all winter and early spring weekends, extended holiday weekends and President’s Week.
Says Michele Berardo, Marketing Director of Plymouth Notch, “Our members and guests are able to ski with friends and spend quality time with family while building relationships that will last a lifetime. We have what many families have been missing – a truly relaxing day of skiing on a tranquil mountain, an experience not found at the larger ski resorts.” Plymouth Notch also provides clients and destination meeting groups an alternative choice to a mundane corporate event, an experience one will never forget with the entire mountain to ski for the day. (Located 40 minutes from Dartmouth College, 2.5 hours from Boston and 3 hours from Fairfield, CT.)
Ticket rates for overnight guests of 506 On The River Inn are $105 for adults and $70 for children under age six, including lunch. As a private club, space is limited, so early reservations are suggested to book this exclusive offer. Rental equipment can be pre-arranged through a top, local ski shop and ready for pick-up when the guests head to the slopes
Pre-and post-ski, guests have full access to 506 On The River Inn’s amenities, including 506 Bistro and Lounge featuring a menu curated by Executive Chef Dana Hansen, a stunning, tiled indoor pool (the property is the only hotel in Woodstock featuring this amenity), a jacuzzi, wet sauna, a library with a billiard table, a fitness room, gift shop, and two game rooms for teens and toddlers.
